In addition to teaching music in Maryland, Michigan, New York, the District of Columbia, and Tennessee, she has co-hosted a TV show focusing on music for early childhood. Mrs. Reynolds also hosted and produced a weekly music radio program, “Music for A Young World,” as a public service for more than five years. She worked with Holt Rinehart and Winston to develop their music textbook series for Grades K-8. She has also studied with Dr. John Feierabend, internationally known early childhood music specialist, to develop music programs for children.

Private & Group Keyboard Lessons
for Young Beginners

The years from birth through age five are ideal for introducing musical experiences at a time when growth and learning progress more rapidly than in any other period of life. Major researchers in the education of young children have found that these years are a time for assimilating experiences from which children develop understanding and skills appropriate for their maturity level.

One researcher, Dr. Benjamin Bloom, states that half of what an individual knows by age 17 is learned by age four. Another researcher with a global influence for early childhood music, the late Dr. Edwin Gordon, reports that early experiences with music can actually raise musical aptitude.

The experiences with private keyboard lessons include piano and other instruments in the keyboard family. When there is a weekly group lesson, it lasts for 1⁄2 hour, 45 minutes, or an hour. Private lessons can be arranged and paid for by the month, semester or year.
